Clifford New Build
From early design stage we worked with the client on the delivery of a prestigious development of 4 exceptional homes, each to a personal specification and to the highest standards. Each home bears the style signature of the end user alongside the use of materials exceeding those required by legislation. Use of waste water, surface water management, insulation specification and use of sustainable timber resources lowering the carbon tally in the construction, use and building lifecycle.
Stone external skin with cedar cladding alongside generous use of glazed apertures gives each home a distictive airy feel inside, bringing the outside environment into the inside spaces
The development took 16 months to complete on site and was highly praised by the local community, professionals as well as the clients for the standard of finish and craftsmanship carried out.
They are all highly energy efficient with high U-values, incorporating a timber frame construction with limestone outer skin to blend sympathetically with surrounding construction, yet with a contemporary design to each one.
Hunters Lodge
New stone built dormer style villa house using stone reclaimed and retooled to the client's requirements. When blended with the cedar clad elements, combines to give an overall look of modern and period styling. Incorporating a large garage for the client's car collection and giving a versatile use of rooms for retirement living the house has a feeling of space in the central hall that has a steel staircase winding around a central stone column incorporating a fireplace. This was a truly individual project.
Beck Farm
Now a family home, the history of this house includes the former use as a select restaurant, the works included the extension of the building over 2 floors to create a master bedroom suite, new kitchen and shower facilities as well as a bespoke oak screened dayroom. The design and consultation alongside the client led to a product the end user felt they can take ownership of with the knowledge that it is suitable for the way they use the house and offers living space for a modern lifestyle.
Trentholme Drive - Something a little different!
When we were asked by a London based Architect to tender for an extension near Yorks prestigious race course how could we say no! The scope of work was to build an extension to blend into the existing house style but to stand out at the same time. We entered into the scheme with enthusiasm as the design was something we had not built in the past. However the Client and the Architect were overwhelmed with the end result.
